Big 12 Men’s Basketball Tournament Tips

Big 12 Championship – Kansas vs West Virginia (2018)

The Big 12 Men’s Basketball Tournament will take place in downtown Kansas City from March 11 through March 14. The tournament has become an annual party for Kansas City, which is known for their love of sports. Fans from across the country flock to KC for some great hoops, great eats and great fun.

This year’s tournament looks like it could be trending toward a heavyweight title bought between the Kansas Jayhawks and Baylor Bears, two teams poised to be No. 1 seeds in the big college basketball tournament. March always brings the crazy when it comes to hoops, though, and anything can happen in the Big 12 Men’s Basketball Tournament.

The best way to experience the Big 12 Men’s Basketball Tournament is live inside the Sprint Center. As the Official Ticket Marketplace of the Big 12 Conference, Tickets For Less has you covered with great seats to each of the five sessions of the tournament. You can purchase tickets by session or you can purchase an All Sessions pass and enjoy the entire tournament from start to finish.

Attending the games is only part of the experience, though. The Big 12 Conference and VisitKC do a wonderful job of providing plenty of family friendly activities that coincide with the tournament each year. Get active in one of the Big 12 Run races, join the party at the KC Live! Block and the Big 12 GameDay Fan Experience and take in everything that Kansas City has to offer.

In past years, the Big 12 Men’s Basketball Tournament has been strictly a hard stock ticket event. This meant that you had to purchase and then pick up your tickets, typically at a location near the venue. This year, however, most all tickets will be mobile, freeing attendees up to get their tickets instantaneously on their phone instead of having to coordinate a pick up.

With most all Sprint Center events, tickets will be accessed through the Flash Seats App. Below is a breakdown of how to access your tickets:

  • The first thing you’ll want to do is to download the Flash Seats app for your phone. It’s available for both Apple and Android users and is free of charge. Make sure you grab the right app! The Flash logo looks like this:

  • Simply follow the app’s instructions and you’ll have Flash on your phone, ready to use.
  • You should’ve received an email alerting you that you’ve been offered tickets. If you open that email, you’ll see where to click to claim the tickets. Follow the prompts and your tickets will be in your account, ready to use.
